Protecting your financial data is essential. This tool helps you create backups and restore them if necessary.

Creating a Backup

Clicking the Create and Download Backup button will generate a complete, compressed copy of your database (`.sqlite.gz` file). It is highly recommended to do this regularly and store the downloaded file in a secure, separate location (e.g., a cloud drive, an external hard drive).

Restoring from a Backup

This is a powerful but dangerous action. Restoring will completely overwrite your current database with the data from the uploaded backup file.

WARNING: Any data entered since the backup was created will be permanently lost. Always create a fresh backup before performing a restore.
  1. Select the `.sqlite.gz` backup file you wish to restore.
  2. Type "RESTORE" into the confirmation box to enable the button.
  3. Click the Restore from Backup button.
For security, restored backups are automatically set to an 'unregistered' state. You will need to re-enter your activation code via the License page after a restore is complete.
